Land of Talk, one of the best bands this city – and country – have fostered in the last few years, was rocking the Jazz Fest on Canada Day.
Nomag followed frontwoman Elizabeth Powell after the show.
After the amazing debut EP Applause Cheer Boo Hiss in 2006, the band retaliated with the LP Some Are Lakes two years later. The follow-up, Cloak and Cipher, is full of oddly endearing rock structures and Powell’s unique melancholic vocals, and due to drop August 24th.
